Dara Vino is a board certified Physician Assistant with an extensive background in Holistic Medicine. She grew up in Miami Florida and graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2003. She moved to Denver, Colorado in 2008 where she obtained extensive training in both naturopathic and holistic medicine. Although her initial years of work were in traditional medicine, since 2008 she has dedicated her life and work to the philosophy of holistic health and wellness. Through her years of practice she has garnered a broader understanding of alternative therapies to help all of her patients achieve optimal health.

Dara started her career in Florida working with a national renowned movement disorders center. She has been helping patients with neurological disorders since 2003 and practiced at a premiere site for the treatment of movement disorders in Boca Raton, Florida. Dara was the foremost PA to prescribe Apomorphine Hydrochloride Injections for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, and was sub-investigator in over 70 clinical trials for the treatment of movement disorders.

Dara has two years experience in orthopedic surgery with Dr. John Reister in Denver, Colorado. She is skilled in all clinic and surgical skills in orthopedics. Dara functioned as a first assistant in the operating room and participated in general orthopedic trauma at level one-trauma center.

In 2013, Dara dedicated her practice to holistic care, and Functional Medicine. She specializes in treating endocrine disorders, complex neurological disorders, infectious and immune disorders, digestive disorders, and orthopedic injuries. Dara believes strongly in educating her patients and taking the time that is necessary for healing. Dara is devoted to finding the cause of disease and a permanent resolution. She endeavors to help patients feel better by rehabilitating the body, mind, and spirit– not just prescribing medications to nullify symptoms. At whole Family Healthcare she is able to stay abreast of new treatments and always able to integrate new cures and treatments for disease.

Dara has served as a Physician Assistant in Florida, Colorado, and Hawaii. As well as practicing as a high-energy practitioner she enjoys surfing and snowboarding with her family, and she is a retired professional ballerina. She feels blessed to have God as her guide in her every decision and endeavor. Dara is very proud to be a part of Whole Family Healthcare and the Lake Mary community.
