Acupuncture Orlando

WFH provides Non-invasive Orlando pain management solutions through acupuncture treatments.

Acupuncture is one of the oldest practices of holistic and natural medicine, dating all the way back to the ancient Chinese era. This practice has been, and continues to be used, to help ease chronic pain, such as low-back pain, neck pain, and knee pain. Acupuncture is also commonly used if a patient has chronic headaches and can even help prevent migraine headaches.

Acupuncture treatments begin with an initial consultation. The practitioner will ask various questions to determine the pattern(s) of disharmony and the process and nature of disease unique to each patient. Examination will include a thorough pulse examination and tongue inspection. These two diagnostic tools are used in Chinese Medicine to allow the practitioner to understand which Organ systems are affected and to identify the root and nature of disease.

  • How Many Treatments Do I Need?

The number of treatments a patient needs is dependent on various factors. Some patients may only need one treatment, others are required to be seen for several months.

The number of treatments needed depends on the severity of the condition, the amount of time the disease has been present, the number of presenting complaints, and the overall strength of the patient.

  • Things to keep in mind

    • Wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing to

       your appointments.

     • Make sure to eat a meal or snack before

Some patients may experience nausea or dizziness if given an acupuncture treatment on an empty stomach.

       /supplements you are currently taking.

       /psychological changes since the last

       treatment.

     • Let your Acupuncturist know if you

experience any pain or discomfort during

       the treatment.

     • Some treatments may cause minor bruising

which is temporary and usually resolved

       after only a few days.

     • Any herbal prescriptions should be taken as

       recommended.

If you have any questions about any herbs or supplements prescribed, do not hesitate to call and ask.

Acupuncture uses a variety of methods along the skin to stimulate specific points on the body. The most traditional acupuncture treatment uses thin needles to penetrate the skin, but new technology has allowed for acupuncture to expand and use the application of heat, pressure, or laser light to perform treatment. These techniques, when delivered properly, are completely safe for patients. There have been very few complications reported from using acupuncture. We use completely sterile equipment in our facility and ensure proper delivery of the treatment.

When you visit our office, every treatment begins with an initial consultation. The practitioner will ask various questions to determine the pattern(s) of tension you have been experiencing. Your examination will include a thorough pulse examination and tongue inspection. These two diagnostic tools are used in Chinese Medicine to allow the practitioner to understand which Organ systems are affected and to identify the root and nature of disease.

Once the practitioner collects this information, process and nature of disease is explained to each patient. We understand that each client is unique, and we tailor our services to reflect this. We pride ourselves on offering natural and holistic services, like acupuncture, in Orlando, Florida. Please visit our contact page to schedule your initial consultation with us.
